This lot will be auctioned by Iconic Auctioneers at The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2026 on Sunday the 15th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. Description: Produced in the 1970s and 1980s by Austrian firm Steyr-Daimler-Puch A.G., the Maxi was a commuter moped popular for its reliability, ease of maintenance and fantastic 120mpg fuel economy ,This 1979 example is an early version that required the rider to pedal to build up the momentum needed to start the 50cc two-stroke engine, however, later variants came equipped with a kick-start,It's a Custom GL Model fitted with leg fairings, handlebar fairing, tinted screen, and 'Executive' lockable hard panniers,In 'garage find' condition, unrestored and mostly original, the bike has covered 5,694 miles,Running recently but some recommissioning will be required before road use,Supplied with a current V5C, rare original owners handbooks and some history,UK-supplied from new,Offered without reserve,
