Decent tenant looking for 1 bed flat

Hi,

I'm looking to relocate to Hull. I'm looking for a one bedroom flat for myself and my one cat (pictured on a blanket that I'm part way through making). If I find the right property I'll be planning to stay for several years.

I'm a decent tenant looking for a decent landlord on here because I'm struggling with private agencies for a couple of reasons:

I'm autistic and cannot work, so will always be dependent in some way on benefits
I have a pet (the cat I mentioned)
No guarantor.

But I am a good tenant

I'm a 46 year old single guy. I like a quiet life but I like to keep my brain busy as well. I study. A lot. That's how I keep myself busy, and occasionally I do some voluntary work. I also crochet a lot and occasionally sell items. I cannot work because I have a very low tolerance for stress. I've tried in the past and it just leads to a breakdown. My best life is the one where I can use my brain but have freedom to choose when and how. I've not given up on work and I'd love to earn my own money, I just haven't found a way yet.

Tenancy wise: I'm currently in a two bedroom house where I've been for 9 years. I consistently pay the rent (happy to show bank statements) as a priority. I need to downsize and relocate. I'm wasting the space I'm in and paying to heat it, and I need to move to a larger city which will hopefully have more opportunities for me.

I have the means to pay a deposit and the first month upfront, and I'm happy to provide details of my income and budget to prove affordability.
My current landlord should be able to provide a reference (I haven't told them I want to move yet).

I'm looking for a flat with good light, a bath (ideal but not completely essential), and good quality kitchen (with or without appliances). I can't consider ground floor properties unfortunately. Looking at areas near or in Hull city centre, or with good transport links to the centre.

Initial viewings would have to be virtual (by video call) due to currently living 200 miles away. I would happily meet in person after that.
