1-2 Acres of land wanted to rent to start up a small nursery business - Chesterfield

Hello,

I am looking to rent 1 to 2 acres of land in or around Ashgate or the surrounding areas in Chesterfield that I could use for growing space in the form of nursery beds and a greenhouse/polytunnel, either existing on the site already or to be installed by myself, and to use the land as a starter platform to start selling my own grown plants. I am RHS level 2 qualified in both practical horticulture and in the principles of plant growth and development, as well as an experienced Private Estate Gardener. Unfortunately, I do not have the space to accommodate my small startup at home, and my own greenhouse is already full to the brim with nearly a thousand small plants, and I have so much more to sow and grow.

Ideally, access to some form of clean running water would be required, but I would also put rainwater collection and storage facilities in place from the beginning. Road access with somewhere nearby to park is essential, and also the area would need to be relatively secure i.e. fenced, walled or hedged off. Pesticides and artificial fertilisers will not be used under any circumstances, as I am a completely organic gardener, and I make my own fertilisers from waste plant produce. I will not be importing any plants; all of my stock will be grown from seed and/or propagated, the majority of which is sourced from my own garden or very locally to me. Invasive species will not be introduced; the site would also need to be free of invasive weeds to be considered.

I would be looking to seek permission within the lease agreement to grow and sell plants on the land. All activity will be respectful of the local community, environment, habitat and wildlife, and the land will be either returned to the original state at the end of the agreement, or with grass crops sown into place to restore the nursery beds.

I would be incredibly grateful if anyone is in a position where they could offer me the opportunity to start up my small business, and what will hopefully one day become a much loved and renowned part of the community.
