Lovely big room in gorgeous Shawlands flat

We’ve got a spacious and pretty room in our large three bedroom flat available from the start of November. Alex and Ebony, our friends and housemates of the past two years, are moving away so we need you!

It’s a main door tenement on Camphill Avenue, a really lovely green street, with a big shared close garden and only 100m down to Queens Park. 5 minute walk to either Shawlands or Battlefield shops. You couldn’t pick a better spot!

The house is surely the grandest we’re going to live in. It’s got a huge living room, three big bedrooms, a good kitchen and bathroom and more storage than we know what to do with. We’ve got a spare bedroom too, so plenty of space for visitors/bikes/your winter coat collection.

The bedroom is large and looks out over the private back courtyard and onto the garden. It has a beautiful fireplace, built in cupboard and big double glazed windows.

You’d be living with me (Sayle) and my partner Milly. We’re both social and enthusiastic people. I’m a geography teacher and gladly work in Glasgow again after a stint teaching the youth of Dunoon last year. Milly is a teacher too, so you can look forward to early morning packed lunches, absurd teenaged behaviour updates and peace and quiet when we're off on school holidays. I’m vegetarian and Milly is not, but we tend to cook veg at home.

We moved to the Southside at the beginning of last year from Australia. We’re very fond of Glasgow and try to get out to see friends, gigs, plays and eat tasty food as much as we can. Milly likes to run at a million miles an hour, I play football a fair bit, we both enjoy getting around on bikes.

We’ve had a very happy time with Alex and Ebony. With easy communication, shared meals, lots of activities together and a few holidays away. We’d like to find a housemate or two who would like to be a part of a shared home.
