Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner – Very Good Condition
New Town, Edinburgh
1 / 7
Description
Epson Perfection V500 Photo flatbed scanner in very good condition and full working order.
A high-quality photo scanner particularly suited to scanning photographs, 35mm negatives and slides. The V500 has a built-in transparency unit and Digital ICE (see below) technology for removing dust and scratches when scanning film.
Very well looked after and only being sold because it is no longer required.
Includes:
• Epson Perfection V500 Photo scanner
• Power supply
• USB cable
• 35mm negative/slide film holders
Tested and operating correctly, with video available showing the scanner completing a scan cycle. I no longer have scanner software installed on my current Mac, so an on-screen scan cannot be demonstrated on collection.
Collection only – I do not want to risk posting a scanner of this size and type.
Modern computer compatibility:
The V500 remains usable with current Macs and Windows PCs. Epson provides an ICA driver for modern macOS, allowing basic scanning through Apple Image Capture. For more comprehensive photo, negative and slide scanning, the V500 is specifically supported by current VueScan commercial software on Windows and macOS, including use of the scanner’s infrared channel for dust and scratch removal. Apple Silicon Mac users may need to use the appropriate VueScan version together with Epson’s ICA driver/plugin.
