Description
An exceptional primary school in Portsmouth is seeking an empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant. Working with a child in the Copnor class, you will provide crucial one-on-one learning and behavioural support. Key Duties:
- Provide one-on-one educational support to a primary pupil with special needs.
- Assist the class teacher with preparing sensory aids and learning sheets.
- Provide sensory breaks and support the pupil's emotional regulation.
- Log daily progress reports and attend team IEP review meetings.
Candidate Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (essential).
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, or learning delays).
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to child education.
- Excellent active listening and communication skills.
