Dan erected our new "catio" at the end of April and did a very good job indeed. He went out of his way to be helpful and was patient, friendly and pleasant at all times. He also stepped in at a moment's notice and worked in the evening because I said the job was urgent. A big thank you to Dan and his helper. A very efficient team.

I had a short timeframe to get a job done and Dan was very flexible & managed to squeeze me in. Not only was he willing to get the job done with short timescales but he also did an excellent job with the painting, boxing the boiler in under the stairs and smaller jobs around the house. I definitely recommend him.

Dan helped lay a base for our new shed and then assembled the flat pack shed. Really happy with his work, and he’s a lovely bloke too. Was a pleasure meeting Dan and happy with our new shed. Would definitely use him again for other projects.

I had a back gate that was out of alignment and needed help. I contacted Bark and Dan's Surfside Services responeded. I obtained a quote from Daniel which I was happy with. Daniel turned up on time, a happy and smiling person. He completed the work to my satisfaction and although the work threw up a couple of difficulties, Daniel was able to resolve these to complete the job.

Absolutely terrible. We’ve had to employ someone else to go over what Dan did. He was two days in to the job and we pad him an interim sum in good faith for any materials purchased etc. Sadly it was money down the drain. He used internal filler on the exterior walls which literally ran down the walls leaving a white puddle when it rained. He used white silicone around the brickwork instead of render. He scraped out small blemishes on the walls and created a real eyesore with deep grooves and patched render where there was no problem in the first place. Many places now needs more work than the original job! He painted randomly and did not cut in properly. I called and messaged him several times to say I did not want him to continue and to call me back to discuss but he has ignored me and has unavailable on his phone. I have his belongings in my garage, which consists of various curtains which he used as groundsheets and there are some other assorted items of no real value. . He has taken my automated garage key and I’ve had to replace it and pay for re-programming. I have never left a poor review ever but he has simply disappeared and the invoice address is not where he said he lives. The quote was very comprehensive and extremely impressive in the detail hence we chose him and I wonder now if he actually did this himself. I do not want this to happen to anyone else and he has given me no choice but to post this. Bark, please note these comments I’m only giving one star because I can’t post this otherwise. .
