Tado Smart Heating Bundle – Controller, Thermostats, Temp Sensors & Radiator Valves for 10 Radiators

Description

DESCRIPTION:
Selling a complete, fully functioning Tado° Smart Heating setup for two zones (e.g upstairs and downstairs) incorporating Smart TRVs for 10 radiators (if you have one zone just use one of the Wired Smart Thermostats). As a long term customer, Tado offered me a discount to upgrade to the new Tado X system so this complete bundle is no longer required.

Tado enables you to control your heating and hot water using a simple smart phone app. For a sample review and an idea of how the system operates search online for “Tado V3+ Pocket-Lint Review”. This is a Canadian website so check Tado’s UK website for UK related details. On their website you check it is compatible with your heating and hot water system but it is with most UK boilers and controls. .

I adopted Tado some time ago and think it is fantastic not least because it has saved me so much money over the years but it also offers so many other benefits (see Tado website for full details of Tado functions and indicative savings)

WHAT IS INCLUDED:
• 1x Tado° Internet Bridge + USB power supply (ethernet cable not provided)
• 2x Tado° Wired Smart Thermostats to control two separate Zones (e.g. upstairs/downstairs)
• 1x Tado° Extension Kit (replaces standard Heating and Hot Water Controller on an existing boiler)
• 2x Tado° Smart Wireless Temperature Sensor
• 10x Tado° Smart Radiator Thermostats (TRVs)
• 10x pack of adapters to allow installation of Smart TRVs onto various radiator valves (not required on many uk systems (including mine) but please check your own system)
• 8x Eneloop rechargeable AA batteries (recommended by Tado) + 9 new AAA batteries (provided with my new Tado X kit). No battery charger.

CONDITION & DETAILS:
• All in good condition - two of the ten Smart Radiator Thermostats have a small crack in the casing but seem to be working - these have black tape on and are added for free.
• Pretty sure it all works with Apple HomeKit and maybe with Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant (check on website).
• Installation is easy. V quick job for an electrician or use the Tado guides to install the Extension Unit (slots straight onto an existing standard backplate or you can wire in the backplate provided) and one or both of the Wired Smart Thermostats. Everything else is battery or USB A (Internet Bridge) powered. Easy to connect everything to the App using QR codes.
• AI told me what all this kit would cost around £850-£925 new (plus £12 x 10 for the plastic radiator adapter kits but I have ignored that). It suggested (based on real used sales figures) selling it all at a used value of £300-£360 however I am happy to sell it all for £220.
• It has all worked perfectly for me and there are many YouTube videos and information on the Tado website to set it all up and operate it. Ten Smart Radiator Thermostats on their own are worth over £650 new on the Tado Shop website so it's a good offer.

COLLECTION & PAYMENT:
• Collection only - I can deliver to within a 25 mile radius of Central Exeter.

OTHER THOUGHTS
Some of the features available (such as Geofencing and Auto Assist) that automatically turn off the heating every time you leave the house and turn it back on when you are heading home (you can even set how far away you are from your house when it turns on) may require a small subscription these days but they're not necessary. You can just press a button on your phone to do the same thing.
