Rare ready for collection 30-38 cm tall tomato plug plants. Have been growing in Jamieson’s brothers compost+perlit. Fed with fertiliser and potassium, great healthy plants. Bred from original tomato fruit from the garden 100%organic.

🍅 “Barrel Minusinsk Red" is a high-yielding, mid-early indeterminate variety of heirloom selection highly prized in Siberia
These plugs grown from self harvested tomatoes of last year, 100% organic.

•tall variety, reaching 1.8 meters in height, and can reach 2.5 meters without proper care.
The bush is formed from 1-2 stems and requires staking and pinching.
•red fruits vary in shape, from barrel-shaped to flattened round, heart shape, with slightly ribbed edges, weighing 300 to 500 grams. When grown on a single stem, they can reach a weight of up to 800 grams.
• tomato ripens mid-season, within 110-120 days, depending on conditions and climate zone.
• flavor is sweet and pleasant, with a classic tomato aroma.
•the flesh is red, plump, and juicy. This is salad variety, especially delicious fresh from the vine, is also suitable for juices, sauces, and salads.

Key Characteristics of Minusinsk Barrel Tomatoes:
* Origin: Developed in the Minusinsk region of Siberia, Russia, a region famous for producing very large heirloom tomatoes.
* Fruit Appearance: Heart-shaped or flattened-round, often with a deep red to raspberry color, fleshy with few seeds.
* Growth Type: Indeterminate (needs staking), generally reaching heights of 2 meters, suitable for greenhouses or warm regions.
* Flavor & Use: Known for a strong heirloom flavor, sweet and fleshy, making them excellent for fresh salads and large slices.
