Description
Why are Monkey Puzzles, so expensive?
The Monkey Puzzle Tree (Araucaria araucana) is endangered and rare in the wild.
They also grow very slowly, meaning nurseries must care for the plants for years before they reach a sellable size.
We have been growing this specimen for 13 years and it would have been a lot larger had it had been planted in the ground and had not been restricted to its Pot.
There are offers for trees, which are 10 ft tall, for £1200. There are also 15cm to 35cm specimens being offered for £113.
Please take care to check the size of the specimen you will receive.
This one is currently approx 8.9 feet tall (including from the base of the plant pot) - and a good specimen.
Currently : 224cm High from top of the Pot - 200cm Wide.
Pot is 48cm High.
Survived cold winters, ice/snow and the summer droughts.
Will come with the Pot.
