Description
This lovely little photo'/picture frame is vintage thus rare and collectible. It is by renowned Welsh maker Silver Scenes (stamped accordingly on the base).
This particular example is constructed of silver plate layered over a pewter base. It is arch shaped. It is by Maureen Anne Story-Jones and consequently signed MASJ. It is believed to date from 1985. It measures 6.5x5.5x1cm.
The decoration on the front shows a large and small hedgehog and blackberries which fits with the inscription around the edge which is believed to be an excerpt from a children's story. It reads 'The moon shone brightly when Hettie the Hedgehog and baby Bertie set out for their supper. Bertie skipped ahead. Wait for me she puffed as she tripped over a stray bramble Bertie wait!'.
The same frame is for sale on another selling site for £26.25 (from £35) so grab a bargain!
It is in immaculate pre-owned condition. Buyer must collect from Chepstow at an agreed time or I am happy to package and post for the associated costs. Needs to go asap so all sensible offers will be considered.
