Description:
A charming pair of vintage hand-stitched cross-stitch embroideries depicting traditional English thatched cottages. Each piece is professionally mounted with a double-layered cream and gold-trim mat, housed in a coordinated gold-and-silver accented wooden frame. The backing bears the original framer's label from Creative Pursuits, Bournemouth, indicating high-quality custom framing.
Condition & Damages:
• Textiles: Excellent vintage condition. The Aida cloth appears bright with no visible "foxing" (brown aging spots) or sun-bleaching to the threads.
• Frames: Very good. There are minor "shabby chic" scuffs consistent with age, particularly on the outer edges, but no structural damage or significant chips to the gilt.
• Glass: Clear and intact on both pieces.
• Backing: The paper backing is slightly aged, and one hanging cord shows minor fraying, but they are ready to hang.
