This is a very rare and collectable, beautiful, brightly coloured 3D wall plaque by Marcus Designs, titled “The Three Heralds.” Dated 1976, signed by artist D. H. Mortre, and marked Design 16 / Series 6 — it appears to be a very scarce production series from Marcus Designs’ catalogue.

This English-made piece features deep sculpted 3D relief, hand-painted detailing, and exceptional craftsmanship. Marcus Designs produced their works in small batches, and Series 6 of Design 16 is rarely seen on the market. This is one of the most desirable and hardest-to-find Marcus Designs plaques — highly sought after by collectors of medieval décor, heraldic art, and historical wall sculptures.

Condition:
Excellent. No chips, cracks, scratches, repairs, or defects. Colours remain bright, details are sharp, and the original finish is fully preserved.
