Welmar Upright piano c1985 recent model concert pitch Beech light Oak wood
Barking, London
£795
Description
This is a mid 1980s Welmar piano from the well respected London makers (serial no 85139). Which is quite recent model from the usual ones on the market. Case has been sanded down ready for re-staining/ varnishing. Or even painting in a fresh new colour if desired. I had planned to do this but just won't get the time now. I need to clear the indoor unit its being stored in as soon as possible really (ideally by Christmas).
This is a very bright sounding Welmar. Playing with a fairly light touch. Langer action. Has the nice modern looking iron frame seen on later Welmars made up until around the millennium when they stopped production. Clean internal condition as you can see from the pictures.
I can try include a piano stool with the sale. And also can come and have it tuned for you if your in London (North of the Thames). It needs a fine tune as you can hear from video but its at the correct A=440Hz pitch and the tuning pins are in excellent condition and hold nice and tight.
This would suit a beginner or intermediate player to learn on. It also has a locking mechanism fitted which locks both the fallboard and top lid with an allen key. For public spaces/ safety for young children etc. Ideally needs a proper music shelf too but you can use the fallboard as pictured. So good practice for sight reading on a grand piano where the music is always higher up. On very good casters for wheeling about with ease.
Viewings welcome in Barking, East London. Moving from professional piano movers available within say 50 miles for about £140 or so (to ground floor).
Any questions just ask. These would normally go for hundreds more save for the aesthetics of the case.
