Description
Built by Alec Hodson in association with the John Lewis Partership, in his workshop in Lavenham,
The harpsichord was built in 1951, as the first in a series of 20.
Hodson is a well repected harpsichord maker, and his instruments can be found around the world
This instrument is in full, and glorious working order!
Pedals: Harp; soft 8'; 16', coupler; loud 8'; lute.
The harpsichord is built on an iron frame, which make the tuning very stable, but note the instrument is correspondingly heavy - comparable to a grand piano.
