Description
Piano is around 100-130 years old. Flame Mahogany. Serial Number 44866 or 44856.
6ft 5 inches X 5ft.
It was purchased in 1992.
This was my husband's Dave Burns (of the Hennessys) music room a professional folk musician who was well known across Wales and globally, and founded the well-known Welsh folk Group Ar Log.
Dave sadly passed away in 2024, and I am having to downsize. Would be very suitable for a charity or a school.
The piano has not been played since Dave's passing but was regularly tuned before that, all the notes do play, there is wear and tear commensurate with age. Some pupils in the past scratched the top! (see photo)
It has a label indicating that the piano was once owned by Lady Thompson
(see photo) whose name the local park is connected to Thompson's Park - that is the information we were given when purchased.
Piano is as seen.
Piano is located on the first floor and the buyer would need to arrange specialist removal, such as Gardiners the removal company.
