Piano lessons and music theory available from fully qualified (Royal Irish Academy of Music) teacher. with 14 years of experience.
My students are building a strong foundation in piano playing, which includes musical understanding, techniques, practice routines, healthy posture, and body awareness. The atmosphere is relaxed and patient, with classes being motivation-driven. Students can choose from a wide range of music to find their musical taste while also identifying personal needs and goals.

All ages and levels are welcome up to diploma standard.

All styles are covered, including classical, contemporary, new age, jazz, blues, pop-rock, folk music, etc.

A great piano teacher with a strong emphasis on technique and music theory. Akos taught me Jazz piano for around 3 years and in this time I went from being able to play very basic tunes with a lot of practice, to really having a feel for the piano and being able to express myself musically on the piano. Akos is also very friendly and the lessons are conducted in a very relaxed atmosphere, which allows for a focus on musicality and fluency. I would recommend Akos to anyone wishing to improve their piano technique and ability while also focusing on music theory - the music underlying the notes! Thanks Akos

I have been having weekly classical piano classes with Akos for around 7 years now. Throughout that time he has been a patient, encouraging, and kind teacher who has helped me to complete my piano exams to a high standard. Akos's attention to detail and focus on technique has taught me to not only play the piano but to also understand the music I am playing (in terms of musicality, dynamics, phrasing, articulation etc.) I am currently practicing for my final Grade 8 ABRSM piano exam and have completed my previous exams (both through the RIAM and ABRSM) with distinction/honours thanks to Akos's brilliant teaching. As well as this, he was a great help to me in preparing me for my Leaving Certificate music practical exam. On top of piano, he is also a excellent music theory teacher and brought me through my Grade 5 Theory Exam with distinction. I would never hesitate to recommend Akos as a teacher to anyone who would ask, and feel grateful to have been taught by him for so many years.

Akos is a wonderful piano teacher. I was/am a late starter. I started piano five years ago when I was 51 without prior piano lessons and I have finished grade five and am getting ready for grade six with Akos. I hugely recommend him.

Very patient teacher. Akos uses a lot of student-centred strategies in his teaching, provides lots of practical advice to support progress, and is particularly good at explaining musical concepts clearly. He is very appropriately set up for online lessons. I've been a student for over 3 years and have successfully completed two ABRSM piano grades, and am working towards my third. I always enjoy the lessons and find that Akos' approach is well-suited to adult learners. Highly recommend.
