I offer vocal coaching, guitar, piano, English and Maths tuition from my base in Hingham, Norfolk. I offer face-to-face tuition only. I have a degree in Theology, specialising in music and am also qualified to teach up to year 11 in Christian Schools. I have been involved in the music profession for 20 years as an artist and producer, during which time I produced three solo albums of my own material. I have also had experience with studio recording principles using Logic Pro. I have toured the USA and Canada whilst playing in a band as lead singer and rhythm guitarist. I am currently working in a new band as keyboard player. I am also a published author under the pseudonym Ben C. Lawes. I am an ordained church minister and Bible Teaching Elder at Amplify church in Hardingham, Norfolk.

I am experienced in teaching younger beginners but my unique style of encouragement and fun will appeal to all levels. I am passionate about ensuring that students enjoy their tuition and no matter what standard you may be at, I will aim to bring out your best. To make this happen with singing I will concentrate initially on building a student's confidence and introducing techniques to help with posture, breath and tone. With guitar I will allow you to progress at your pace without any pressure. With all my tuition, coaching will be individually based and person-centred.

I would like to clarify that my piano tuition is not from a traditional methodology where reading music is needed. If your desire is to go through grades and play classical pieces then I may not be your best option. If you would like to learn by intuition and more from a creative point of view then my methods will definitely be more appropriate.

To ensure that your first lesson is the most productive, bring along some ideas for songs that you would like to cover if you enquiring for singing or guitar. If you are enquiring for Maths or English, a clear idea where your child is will help formulate a plan for them. The first lesson, which will be at a reduced rate, will be an opportunity for me to get to know you and create a plan in order for you to fulfil aspirations.

I must point out that I do not travel to students for tuition.

I would also encourage potential students to be fully aware of where I live before enquiring. This can obviously help avoiding disappointment if you decide that the travelling distance is too far for you.
