I feel very lucky to have found Callum as a music teacher. Broadly speaking, he is very professional, he has a warm relaxed manner and right from the start, I felt very comfortable at lessons in spite of a lot of anxiety about returning to music as an adult (I’m 62 yo now). We meet approximately every two weeks for an hour. He is very conscientious when we need to reschedule. I think he teaches very well and we work well together. I know a good deal about music already and he has complimented that by helping me expand my knowledge and understanding. I have found his ideas about playing for examplein a period style very useful. I enjoy the lessons and I look forward to them. I’m sure this is because I am improving and have a tangible sense of making progress. He has appropriately suggested repertoire that is challenging but not overwhelming. He has helped my technique which has helped me overcome specific hurdles/bad habits but has made me more aware of how I play the piano. He is currently helping me prepare for the ABRSM performance diploma. (associate) and I am confident I wouldn’t have thought this possible when we first started lessons. He communicates ideas and concepts very well and also practically demonstrates things at the piano which I find really helpful, for example managing ornaments (which I find tricky). I am increasingly learning to perform and communicate music and I am more satisfied with my playing. To some degree finding the right teacher is idiosyncratic, however from my experience, I would unreservedly recommend Callum as a teacher.

Callum has been helping me get back into playing the piano for a few months now. He has a wealth of experience which I am very grateful he is sharing with me. He is a great teacher and is helping me to improve every week. I would highly recommend him

As Kyle's parents - we thought it would be difficult to find a piano teacher as our son didn't want to do classical music - but we found Callum and he was willing to take Kyle on with his different music choices. He has helped him to learn to read & play music, he is a fantastic & amazing teacher & helped our son so much. He has been an inspiration to Kyle & encourages him in everything he does & tries - as Kyle likes to be different. We feel very lucky to have found such an amazing teacher!

Callum is a great teacher and would highly recommend. Callum is very patient, professional and down to earth. Through Callum's support i was able to pass ABRSM G6 and now working towards G7. I could not off done that without Callum's help.

Not sure where to start. Callum is extremely knowledgeable, loves music, and is very patient even with an absolute beginner like me. I have been very frustrated for decades for not being able to play the piano, and staring into music sheets like they were Egyptian hieroglyphs. I didn´t seem to find a suitable teacher. Some were online, and some were not right. Once, I was put in a room full of five year old learning to play Bach. All at the same time! Really? Since I started one-to-one tuition with Callum two years ago, I am now starting to make sense of reading music, and getting applause every time I sit down at a public piano on a shopping centre. If you want proper music tuition, if you REALLY want to unlock the secrets of piano and the potential in you, Callum and his top of the range and iconic Steinway B grand Piano are up there with the best of the best.
