Description

The new GTS 310 Super Sport E5+ range maintains the current, distinctive and winning concept strengthening the image of exclusivity and premiumness by increasing the perceived value and the quality of construction.
It also improves the product competitiveness introducing the new engine 310cc, more powerful than the previous one.
Furthermore, the engine range has been updated to comply with the new Euro 5+ emission standards.

The new 310cc HPE (High Performance Engine) has enhanced the power and performance of the previous 300cc engine, offering a valuable upgrade to customers.
The new engine, the new most powerful engine ever fitted on a Vespa model, offers an enhanced driving experience, combining increased power with optimized ride comfort.

IMPROVED COMPONENTS
In order to improve power and reduce emissions:
‐ increased stroke
‐ new high performance multi-jet injector
‐ new cylinder offset
In order to reduce vibrations and noise:
‐ reduced engine revs at all vehicle speed
‐ higher flywheel inertia
‐ new crankcase design to reduce belt noise
‐ decoupled starter gear
‐ new improved starter motor
(this aspect also leads to a quicker engine start)
‐ optimized rear gears design
The engine is not only more powerful making for a smoother ride around town, but it is also more efficient and better for the environment, meeting EURO 5+ emissions standards.

The new intake line and the new SOHC roller cam timing system with optimized valve lift allows to achieve the required engine tuning in order to increase torque at low speeds looking at the best drivability.
The new off-setted crankcase design allows to:
‐ reduce mechanical losses
‐ reduce belt noise
The new CVT calibration, thanks to the more efficient transmission belt, new stiffer clutch drum and the new CVT cover
with sound proofing material, allows to:
‐ lower fuel consumption
‐ increase fluidity at low speeds
‐ contain engine noise
