2012 Vespa LX 125 i.e. – Fresh MOT – Genuine Vespa Extras – £1,599

For sale is my 2012 Vespa LX 125 i.e. in black with tan seat, showing approximately 24,335 km / 15,100 miles.

We bought the Vespa in 2020 as a bit of a lockdown impulse purchase, fully intending to learn to ride it, but never actually got around to it. As a result, it has spent the vast majority of the last few years stored and covered in my parents’ garden.

We recently brought it back out, fitted a brand-new battery, and took it straight for an MOT. It passed first time with no issues or advisories and now has an MOT until 18 August 2027.

As far as I can tell, everything works exactly as it should and it starts, runs and rides well.

The black bodywork with tan seat and chrome accessories is a particularly nice combination and gives it the classic Vespa look.

It does have age-related cosmetic marks, small dings and areas of paintwork that could be improved. I’ve tried to show the condition honestly in the photographs. It isn’t being advertised as immaculate, but it presents very well overall and, mechanically, has just passed its MOT without issue.

The extremely low use during our ownership is simply because we never ride it — not because there was anything wrong with the bike.

A lovely example of the Vespa LX 125, increasingly difficult to find with the genuine accessories and original paperwork still present.
