I have been teaching Science and Maths for the past 15years and offer a free 30 minute trial. I have been in Financial Services most of my life and have lived in Dubai for 10 years, prior to this. I found I had a natural ability to engage with students due to my life experiences and having dealt with the all manner of clients in my previous career.

I can definitely improve your child's grades regarding all the Science subjects and Maths, if required. My fees are £40 for each 50 minute session. I am aware that there are cheaper tutors out there, but not necessarily fully qualified Science and Maths teachers or that have the wealth of experience that I possess.

I also hold weekend crash courses for harder Higher Maths topics where you get 8 hours of intensive teaching for £199. Details are in my list of services.

I have enjoyed my teaching career tremendously and have taught in all types of schools from SEN - Special Educational Needs schools, comprehensives, grammars and the top private schools in Kent, since 2010. I am therefore familiar with all the different exam boards and their topic requirements and the ability to teach any child. I was also tutoring face to face 3 evenings a week.

Since Covid I have been doing mainly online tutoring with students referred from the local council and my own private students. I have tutored in excess of 50 students individually over the past 12 years and they have all stayed with me till the end of their school years. Some families have stayed with me for more than 10 years tutoring each of their children.

One of the key factors in online tutoring is the rapport between the students and tutors. In that respect I feel I have much to offer as I have a great sense of humour and make all lessons fun as well as informative.
Another factor is delivery of content. For this I use various resources from quizzes, videos, a whiteboard, exam questions and many other resources. I interact continuously with the student to make sure they understand the content and concepts. I help them in notetaking and answering complex questions along the way. I give advice on exam techniques and explaining concepts in a form that the students will understand.

As I am a registered practicing teacher, I also have a full Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service), which can be checked online. This gives you added peace of mind for your child’s safety as this checks the police criminal database. You can't be too careful these days.
