Hello, I'm Simone, a Wedding photographer based in Aberdeenshire, but will travel anywhere in Scotland.

Your wedding day is the begining of a very special story, a story unique to you. A day shared between you and your loved one, your family and friends and one that I would love to hear all about.

Are you ready to make some unforgettable memories?

Everyone has their own story to tell and I know it’s a little cliche but two weddings really are never the same. You can have 100 guests, 20 of your closest family or it might just be the 2 of you. You could be getting married in a castle, a rustic barn, a marque in your back garden or be eloping to the Scottish Highlands. I love it all.

Whatever you have planned my aim is always the same, to photograph your day as it happens in a natural and relaxed way. All the emotion, the fun and laughter from morning preparations right through to your first dance, not forgetting all the personal touches and beautiful details that makes your story yours.


It’s important to me that you feel comfortable in front of the camera so while we get to know each other over coffee and cake, let’s also get a little bit of practice in before your big day. Don’t worry I will keep you right and I promise with a little bit of guidance you’ll love having your photos taken and be surprised at what you can create.

A little bit about me

My love for photography started back when I was studying Visual Communications at Grays School of Art. Film photography became a big interested of mine and I loved developing my own photographs in the darkroom.

Having gained my Degree, I then went on to specialise in photography at Aberdeen Collage and graduated in 2009 with a HND. 

After studying and working in the photography world for over 10 years, I created my own photography business, Simone Smith Photography in 2018 and have never looked back.


I met my husband over 15years ago and we got married at the beautiful Drumtochty Castle on 21st October 2015 on what was the most magical day ever.

I have two cocker spaniel fur babies, Alfie & Rosie.

Most of my down days are spent with my husband & fur babies, going for walks, out for coffee and cake and travelling in our campervan. We love exploring the West Coast of Scotland, Lake District and Devon, but any other location suggestions are welcome.
