Description
This rather magnificent hamster cage has become available due to the passing of my elderly hamster, Wally.
The base unit is two story’s high and consists of a storage area at the bottom, above is a living area with various shelves in ramps going up to the top area which is large enough to house the large hamster wheel (which is included in this package, see photos for accessories). The top floor, or as we like to call it ‘The Penthouse’, is detachable and can be used as a single cage in its own right which makes it easier to transport, and I have used this as a holiday home for my hamster so he could come with us. The top floor has a hole in the base to connect the two cages but when being used as a single cage this hole is covered with a piece of wood which is screwed into position.
Please look at the photos to see the wide range of accessories that come with this cage, this includes one large hamster wheel suitable for a Syrian hamster, two water bottle stands, two hamster houses, a sand bath, three feeding bowls, a feeding hopper, a dustpan and brush, dried food, paper bedding, a soft hamster pouch and various small things for a hamster to chew. All these items are either thoroughly washed or unused.
The hamster cages have been thoroughly washed and scrubbed and do not smell at all. Wally did not chew any of this cage, I like to think this is because he was a happy hamster. One holiday I tried to housing in a small plastic hamster cage and he became quite distressed and chewed the bars all night. I truly believe Wally had a very happy life in this cage.
This would make an excellent end of school year present for a child as you only have to purchase a hamster and some hamster sand for his/hers bath.
Base cage size, height 120 cm, width 61 cm and depth 40 cm. Top cage size, height 42 cm, width 61 cm and depth 35 1/2 cm. obviously when these 2 cages are combined, the total height is approximately 162 cm.
All this for £50.
I am going on holiday on Friday so if you are interested, it will need collecting before Friday.
