Description
IKEA Detolf glass display cabinet converted for use as a gerbil enclosure using custom mesh doors. Can also be used as furniture or a display cabinet.
The two mesh doors are originally from Etsi and are made from double-layer wooden frames with metal mesh sandwiched inside. The original chew damage has been repaired by replacing the inner frame pieces, which are now solid and tidy. The removed sections are included and currently used underneath the glass back panel as support.
One of the white MDF end panels has surface scratches from previous use (gerbils digging), purely cosmetic and not structural. This is shown in the photos.
The last picture shows when it was in use until October 2024 and the accessories are not included.
Also included:
• A slate tile (approx. 20×30 cm) for a claw-wear area or under a water bottle holder
• The spare wooden pieces from the door repair
• The original glass door panel and three glass shelves
Dimensions are standard Detolf size.
