Locum Contracts & Procurement Lawyer

Local Authority – South East

Initial 3–6 Month Contract | Fully Remote Working

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a local authority in the South East who are seeking an experienced Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their legal services team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy legal team, advising on a varied caseload of commercial contracts and procurement matters while benefiting from a fully remote working arrangement.

Responsibilities:

* Managing a broad caseload of commercial contracts and public procurement matters

* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements

* Advising on procurement processes, tender documentation and contract award procedures

* Providing legal advice on compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and wider public procurement legislation

* Supporting internal stakeholders on contractual, procurement and governance issues

* Managing matters from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision

Requirements:

* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive in England & Wales

* Proven experience handling commercial contracts and procurement matters, ideally within a local authority or wider public sector environment

* Strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 and public procurement legislation

* Excellent xjnqpsq drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

* Ability to work independently in a fully remote role

Contract Details:

* Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

* Fully remote working

* Initial 3–6 month contract with strong potential for extension

* Flexible start date
