Overview

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrator to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment. This is an exciting opportunity to support legal operations and contribute to the smooth handling of files and documents recovered during interventions into solicitor firms.

The role involves processing legal and client documents, responding to document requests, and occasional attendance at solicitor offices as part of an intervention team.

This role would particularly suit someone with a background in law or recent legal studies who is looking to apply their knowledge in a professional setting and gain hands-on experience in legal administration.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect and analyse client files, legal documents, and accounting records recovered during interventions

* Index and enter data into the internal database in accordance with procedures

* Receive, assess, and direct incoming documentation appropriately

* Log incoming post, create physical files, and update records

* Match incoming documents to existing case applications

* Search databases and spreadsheets to locate information relating to interventions

* Determine document/file ownership and assess the authority required for release

* Sift and redact documents prior to release

* Handle incoming telephone and email enquiries from clients and solicitors

* Provide case updates, explain required actions, and manage expectations

* Follow up on outstanding information and proactively update clients

Skills & Experience Required

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems

* Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels

* Exceptional customer service skills and a calm, professional manner when dealing with demanding individuals

* Outstanding attention to detail with a "right first time" approach

* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

* Comfortable following structured processes and procedures

* Able to work independently on routine matters and escalate when necessary

* A proactive team player with a flexible, positive attitude

* Willingness and physical ability to perform manual handling tasks when needed

* Adaptability to work in a changing environment
