VINTAGE FRENCH OIL PAINTING, OIL ON CANVAS VILLAGE IN PROVENCE, SIGNED - 35x22cm - 1990s

Part of our French Antique/Vintage wall art collection, we got this from a vide maison near Troyes in the Champagne region.
It is one of several paintings from an art lover who was making space for more paintings.
It’s a compact, vividly painted, landscape of a Provençal village which he estimated to date to the 1990s (apparently he knew the artist).
Signed to the front lower right but I have been unable to identify the artist.
Recently displayed in our French house, it is an attractive thickly painted, bright, original piece of art which will fit into both the traditional and modern setting with ease…

In good vintage condition with some wear and staining consistent with its age - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
The painting is a a little worn with a little staining but thick, textured, and still bright - will post!
The canvas is old but intact with no tears or repairs obvious when held up to the light and viewed from the rear - see photos.
The wooden stretcher is worn but sound.
The canvas is secured in the stretcher by old nails.
Signed in blue to the bottom right with a signature that is illegible to me - see photos.
Also marked to the rear with some frame numbers and the number 1999 in pen.

22 cm long, 35 cm tall, 2 cm deep.
