Beautiful, large, framed oil on board painting by renowned Scottish painter, Edward Hasell McCosh. Signed and dated 1977. One of his earlier works.

Statement piece.

Painting has been verified in October 2023, by the artist. Please see attached signed note. McCosh initially didn't spot his signature as it is partially covered by the frame, so thought the work hadn't been completed (as per note). On further inspection, he noted the signature, and confirmed the work was complete.

Edward Hasell McCosh who works using traditional methods is well known for his beautiful paintings of domestic and exotic fowls, game birds, still life, fruit, flowers and landscapes often combining these themes in a painting.

The artist has had several highly acclaimed exhibitions of his work which is now held in many important private collections throughout the United Kingdom also in North America, Holland, and elsewhere.

McCosh's work is inspired by Flemish and European styles.

In August 2023, McCosh held an exhibition in the South of Edinburgh called 'The Beauty of Birds in Art'.
