Spitfire MkV and Lancaster Bomber in Large Identical Custom Made Frames.
Somercotes, Derbyshire
£95
Description
These nostalgic, impressive, and high-impact prints of the Supermarine Spitfire Mark V, originally painted by James Kelso, and the famous Avro Lancaster Mark 1 bomber, by Peter Kettle, are mounted in high-quality custom-made frames which are in very good condition.
The frames are an attractive rosewood colour with internal gold beading and they both measure approximately 90cm (35 inches) wide by 70cm (27 inches) tall. Get your tape measure out to appreciate the size! The glass is perfect with no scratches, chips or cracks. Both frames have hangers and cord fitted so are ready to hang in position.
Please note, the bottle of Merlot in a couple of photos is for scaling purposes, it doesn't come with the pictures, my wife would not be happy!
Due to their size, I had to take the photos outside so there are a few unavoidable reflections, which you may have noticed, but this is not a fault with the prints.
These would look fantastic in any home or perhaps a public establishment, be it a pub, café, or hotel that has links to the RAF, or interested in aviation history. Alternatively, ditch the prints and fill the frames with whatever you desire.
These are large heavy frames with breakable glass and therefore not suitable for shipping by courier, particularly because they refuse to insure them in transit. Therefore, collection is definately preferred, but if you live reasonably close, then other options could be explored.
Serious questions and offers are welcome.
The price is for both frames.
Thank you for looking.
