Peter Reading - After a life long pursuit of creative fulfilment in the commercial world of industrial design, Peter Reading sought greater spiritual achievement as a painter.

Having worked in most mediums, he was eventually captured by the very seductive, challenging and ever surprising world of watercolour: "It's both demanding and unpredictable, constantly producing surprises and exciting accidents. Trying to control a free-flowing liquid pigment with a mind of its own is part of the adventure and anxiety that you get with each new sheet of paper," stated Peter.

Dartmoor, England is Peter's main inspiration and he is fast gaining a reputation for his atmospheric images of the Moor, in particular the trees which clearly hold a special fascination for him. His florals are no less dramatic and show the artist's intense feeling and love for all these spectacular creations of nature. Peter Reading was born in London in 1933 but eventually retired in the Tamar Valley in Cornwall.

Peter passed away in May of 2002.
