Posting for 11+ years"Optima Pizza Express Napoli" Electric Clamshell Pizza Oven
West Ealing, London
£80
Description
Bought this last year as my first pizza oven to start learning how to make Neapolitan pizza at home. Bought new for £150. I have probably made about 50 pizzas on it. Can be used inside and outside. Very effective option for the price and size, and small enough to be tucked away when not used. Works much better than a normal oven as it can get much hotter than what an oven can achieve in terms of pizza making. The only reason I am selling is because I have just been gifted a larger gas pizza oven from my partner so I can't keep both. So it has to go.
Who would this be good for?
If you are starting out on wanting to start making pizza at home, this is the best starter oven you can get. For the price, it's very affordable for an entry level pizza maker. No need to break the bank when you are getting started, which I why I chose this. It helped me develop the skills I have now. The pizza stone has a few small superficial stains around the rim but has been kept in good condition, as you can see in the picture. These stains occur almost immediately once you start using the oven. Most stains can be cleaned by putting the oven on full blast, closed, for 30-60 mins. The heat breaks them down. As you can see, the centre of the stone is clear. The cook time is around 3-5 mins depending on preferences. I found 4 minutes to be the sweet spot.
Item has original box, and has the original flex power cable.
Given that these go for £150 new (google the name of the oven to see it on sale on various websites), and I have used it for a year with great care, I would be happy to let it go for £80 as a sale needs to happen! Contact me for any other questions or details! Thanks! : )
