Vintage 60s 70s Welsh wool cape 🍂

Stunning vintage Welsh wool cape by Mari Lwyd. I’m really sad to let this go, but I don’t wear it as much as I used to and need to make some wardrobe space so am hoping it will find a new home where it will be worn and loved 💕

Made from soft Welsh wool woven in a fab geometric pattern, this is the perfect mix of cozy classic and statement piece - the colourway of olive green, orange and tomato red is really unique and I’ve received lots of compliments wearing it! Looks especially good with brown leather boots and a cozy knit 🍂

There is a sweet little Peter Pan collar that can be turned up for extra warmth and the rounded shoulders have darts to ensure the cape falls properly and keeps its shape. Three brown plastic buttons to the front close the cape and complement the brown trim, and there are two slits at the waist point for you to pop your arms out. Lined with forest green, silky synthetic material. Original label to the inside left hem.

The only flaw I can see is a pinprick area of thinning to the right shoulder as shown, but this has been kept carefully and is otherwise in immaculate condition with no rips, stains or bad smell. Ready to be worn and enjoyed!

There is no size label, but would probably best fit up to a UK14 - please go by the measurements below. There is no stretch to the fabric. Measurements (taken flat and doubled where necessary):

Shoulder to shoulder: 20”
Bust: up to 40”
Waist: free
Nape to hem: 35”
