Yamaha Kodiak 400 4wd quad , low range , high range , 97 R reg plate

Yamaha yfm400 m 400cc single cylinder air cooled , reliable with loads of new parts

this quad has a R reg number plate I do not have the V5 and have never had it but was given the number plate buy previous owner who said it was used on a shooting estate
Hence the road registration plate.

Bought for towing tiny garden trailer but it's a waste for that barely ever used as
Thought clutch was slipping when I bought it
So replaced centrifugal clutch and multiplate wet clutch
Turns out it was the carb blocked so didn't have power to engage the centrifugal clutch
Fitted a replacement carburettor aswell all sorted ( still have the old one )

Brakes work , low range , high range amd reverse all work
Goes really well perfect for some off road tracks
it's old but very solid see pics
If the front and rear luggage racks were rubbed down and painted black again this would look brilliant for an old farm quad


Apparently these are renowned as extremely reliable work horses
Think honda big red but better

New tryes on the back I also have two new tyres for the front but they weren't needed yet
So can come with the quad if I can find them
