Rare 1975 Jensen GT

Description

1975 Jensen GT Chassis number 30012 (which makes it the 10th production one made I believe)
55,xxx original miles
RHD, 5 Speed Getrag with Delorto carbs on the original Lotus 907 twin cam engine
Nevis Blue with a black vinyl and cream elephant cord interior
Has been off the road and garaged since 1989 (pre SORN) when I last had it registered
I bought this to restore but life took over and it is time for someone to put this rare, early example of the 510 they made back on the road.
Comes with lots of new factory (Jensen Parts & Service) panels including rear wings (GT with the fuel filler indent), inner and outer sills, rear valance repair panel and a front lower valance (GT, not Healey).
I didn’t like the Britax aftermarket sunroof, so I bought a crash damaged GT and cut the roof off it with the intent of returning this one to a solid roof – so it comes with a spare roof! There is also a pile of used OEM spares from the scrapped GT including an extra Lotus 907 block, 6 JH wheels with new GT center caps (4 polished ready to paint), the original GT steering wheel (it has an after-market steering wheel on it for moving it around as the factory ones are pretty fragile), rear carpet sets, interior trim panels, pedal box with brake booster and master cylinder, seat belts etc. etc.
The burl walnut dashboard and the gauges and switches were all restored before my career took over.
It still has the original vinyl strip and stainless trim on the front of the bonnet which the first 50 GTs were built with.
It also has the Pirelli Cinturato tyres which were fitted at the factory when new I believe – if you wanted to show the restored car in concourse, you could keep the tires and mount them on a set of Healey rims for show purposes and have another set for driving.
Also has several older MOTS from previous ownership.
Located in Leicester, close to the M1/M69 junction.
