Description

Competition/Race Mini used mainly for Autocross, Rallycross and Autotesting. It has been sitting in my garage for a long time and now drives and stops.
It is an 11 stud engine freshly bored out to 1293cc with new rings fitted for the last event, roughly 10 miles on rebuild. It has an Oselli stage 2 head, and an Avonbar racing engine, balanced and lightened on a Tuftrided crankshaft, Conrods, flywheel, backplate and is good for 7500 revs. Excellent oil pressure, see photo. Twin 1.5 SU carbs, 13 row oil cooler, Aldon red distributor. Gearbox is a 3 synchro straight cut box with a Salisbury straight cut LSD with Hardy Spicer drive shafts. 10 inch 1300gt discs on front and GT brakes on back. Full roll cage with racing harness. All panels have been lightened and has a fibreglass front and boot lid, perspex windows and a laminated front screen. 12 inch revolutions on the front and 10 inch GB alloys on the back, sitting ultragrip tyres. The shell is generally very strong with a few stress related cracks at points, dry subframe. With a bit of tidying up the car could be back on a track, Class winning car in it's day but not Concours!
