1996 Mazda Bongo 2.5 Diesel Automatic - Unfinished Camper Project – £2,900

Sadly selling our Bongo due to a change in circumstances.

This has been a real passion project for us and we’d fully intended to finish the conversion and keep her. A lot of time, money and love has gone into getting her to this stage. Unfortunately, I’m now having to move house and there isn’t going to be room for the van.

The interior has been sound-deadened and insulated throughout using Dodo Mat products, the flooring has been fitted and the ceilings have been freshly carpeted.

We started to make the bed and storage area for the conversion, so there is currently a wooden framework inside. It hasn’t been secured to the van, so it can easily be removed or changed. All of the wood we bought for the conversion can be included if the new owner would like to carry on with it.

The electric pop-up roof works, and the internal hatch opens to give full standing height. The roof area can also be used as an additional sleeping space.

All of the electric blinds have been replaced with cream blackout blinds, apart from the sliding side door which currently doesn’t have one fitted.

She’s recently had a new exhaust fitted.

I also have a set of brand-new Bongo Spares mats, and half a can of lick paint which will be included.

I want to be completely upfront about what she needs. The tyres will need replacing, there is a crack in the windscreen, and the MOT is due.

She’s obviously not a finished camper yet, but most of the preparation work has already been done, so she’s ready for somebody to take over and finish the conversion however they want.

Genuinely gutted to be selling her, but with the house move I just can’t realistically keep her.
