Description
Here we have my kit car that I spent 17 years building (for various reasons) and spent just over £17000.
The chassis and bodywork were supplied by Martyni Sportscars in Bilston, but they have since ceased trading.
To my knowledge, only 5 were ever built. Two were demonstrators and I think are still in the UK, one is in Belgium and one is in the Czech republic with an Audi engine fitted
This one is fitted with an Alfasud 1500cc boxer engine with twin Dellorto carbs. The donor car for the engine and gearbox was a Alfasud Sprint MOT failure due to rust. Original mileage for the engine was 67000 miles.
Cam belts and water pump replaced.
Age related X suffix registration
It has a monocoque chassis (the original Lotus was a brazed space frame).
Ford running gear and front brakes, inboard Alfasud brakes on the rear
Registered in 2016 but wasn't fully road legal after IVA testing and subsequent retest after failing the initial inspection.
Now fully IVA tested and registered as a Martyni 23, complete with V5 in my name
I've only completed less then 2000 miles since it has been on the road. Always garaged
It has a 3 inch clearance under the car. Since it has a monocoque chassis and independent coil over springs, its quite a rigid ride.
I have loads of photos of the build, a comprehensive information folder, spreadsheet on what has been spent and original brochure
MOT is due in May but will be completed before any sale

Jobs that need doing
Carbs need tuning and choke cables fitting
I don't understand suspension set up. I followed the manufacturers guidance but I'm not sure it's optimised.
