Hymer B694 Motorhome (1995)

Description

Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, I no longer have the C1 entitlement on my driving licence, which means I cannot drive our beloved motorhome, 'Homer'.

We bought this fantastic vehicle several years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed our travels in it.

The MOT is due at the end of June, but it sailed through its last MOT with no advisories and has hardly been driven since. The engine has been run every couple of weeks to keep it lubricated etc.

There is a double drop down bed over the cab with a memory foam mattress. A fixed double bed at the rear, again with a memory foam mattress, ( both are really comfortable) and the lounge sofa converts into a small double bed. The bathroom has a working cassette toilet, handwash basin and separate shower.

In the kitchen area there is a sink with chopping board cover, a gas hob and a 3-way fridge. There is no oven but we store an air fryer in one of the overhead lockers which works well for us.

There are large clean and grey water storage tanks onboard, with more than enough storage for a long weekend or a full week if you are water conscious.

There is lots of storage inside including overhead lockers, a wardrobe, cupboard in the lounge and a safe under the passenger seat.

The vehicle is 7.2m long,left hand drive and is surprisingly easy to manoeuvre, even in the city. In the cab there is an upgrade Bluetooth stereo which is also compatible with Apple and Android.

Heating is via a diesel heater system in a side locker that feeds the blown air heating. Hot water is through the Truma system in the wardrobe. (Note: the hot water only work on hook-up. I think the Truma unit needs a new gas burner. This has been taken into account on the pricing. I had intended removing the Truma and installing an instant hot water heater, but have never got around to it as we are usually on electric hook-up)

There is a roof mounted air conditioning unit that runs from electrical hookup.

The 3-way fridge functions as it should.

In the bathroom the cassette toilet, sink and shower are fully working.

Outside, there are multiple belly lockers, one for gas bottles, one for the heater system and 2 large ones at the rear. There is a full length wind out awning.. The side locker for the original generator now houses the new diesel blown air system which feeds warm air into the interior via the original heating vents.

The tyres have done less that 1,000 miles and we had an oil service and the brakes, bearings and suspension overhauled last year

In summary, this is a bargain for somebody who wants a spacious classic motorhome.
