Lovely van served my dad excellently for 17 years. Dad bought it as a plain panel van when it was 3 years old in 2009. He converted it into a campervan (fully checked to be insured as a motorcaravan)
Sadly last April it broke down after a long time of waiting for a garage to do a proper diagnosis it showed after a compression test and putting camera down that there was damage to 1,2,3 and 4 piston rings. It needs bottom end replacing or removing and reconditioning. Basically the engine needs to be removed and reconditioned. Or a second hand engine fitted.
We had intended to have this done and it would be put back on the road unfortunately we could not find a garage to do the work. In the meantime dad's health has deteriorated badly and he will not be able to use it again.
It has been looked after mechanically well and we re sprayed it 3 years ago and tidied the bodywork.
There are a few new scratches since but overall apart from the engine it is a good solid van.
If you have the mechanical skill (or the right contacts) it will make very good reliable motercaravan.
It is of the generation that has not got all the modern diesel gadgets that cost a fortune to fix.
