Hi, this is a private sale of my beloved Ford Focus Titanium 1.6 TDCi 115HP.
Year: 2011
Mileage:190519
Road tax: £20 a year.
Mot expires: 13/12/2026 ( 10 months left ).
3 owners including myself.
Service history, bills, books, 2 keys present.
Tow bar with electric - fully functional ( professionally fitted by GT Towing - cost £336 receipt to proof ).
Tinted windows.
New battery last year.
Rear tires replaced 2-3 months ago, just before Mot.
Always serviced when needed.
Roof bars not included !!!
This is the top spec titanium version with park assist, lane assist, hill assist, BLIS ( blind spot ), front and rear parking sensors, sony audio system and much more.
I bought the car in 24/10/2022 with 132000 miles and covered almost 60000 miles without any problems up to now… last week the car started to develop issue ( the engine cuts out when driving on low speed, specially when you get close to the roundabout and won’t start, if you wait 20-30min the engine start again and perform as normal, the problem comes back few more times and one day I have been recovered by AA assistance to the garage for inspection. The garage couldn’t find the problem as there was no faulty codes on the diagnostics machine at that time, they change the fuel filter but this do not help. They said without the codes they can’t do more as this could be fuel pressure sensor, any other electric sensor or the worst scenario injectors, and to find out you need to start changing parts step by step to eliminate the problem. I refuse to do that because this means money involved and no warranty the car will be fixed by them ( as we all know garages charge fortune ). I took the car back home with AA assistance. I have order and fit new fuel pressure sensor ( receipt and the old one to proof, quite easy job to do it ) and the engine fire up and run okay. I left the engine run for about one hour to gets the engine hot and see if all okay, it seems okay so I took the car for a really really short drive around my village, engine perform good. I come back, park the car, switch off the engine, try to start again to see if all good and unfortunately the engine didn't start. I have plug and run a diagnostic scan and get codes PO194:00-2E ( FRP Fuel Rail Pressure sensor ), I have clear the codes and the engine fire up again, so looks like there is some more electric problems, maybe the fuel pressure sensor which I bought it is faulty ( very unlikely ) or the hole Fuel Rail is faulty, or something else. I don’t really want to spend more money on the car without knowing the exactly issue and I do not have the right skills, tools. I really need a reliable car to communicate to work so I decided to sell the ford how it is and get something new. There is plenty of life left in that car so will be a shame to scrap or sell for parts, is really to good for that, the outside and inside of the car is in very good condition compared to the high mileage ( if you come and see the car you will be surprised how good and clean it is ).
I do believe if you are mechanically minded and know about Ford you can fix the problem.
The most important: the car is sitting on my drive way without use, the engine starts and runs. I will highly recommends if you come and buy the car to be TOWED AWAY, so please do make sure you have the right vehicle for that. Please do not try to come and fix the car on my drive way, spend hours on checking and question me what’s wrong with the car as I don’t know. There is also no test drive only because if you take the car for a drive and the engine cuts out while driving, then I will be left with the car on the street again...!!!
