2005 Focus C-max 1.6tdci (crank no start)

2005 focus C-max 1.6tdci that cranks but doesn't start.

1.6tdci DM2 engine

Currently SORN'd

Car was driving well until all electrics failed suddenly and left me stranded.

Checked over by auto electrician , new alternator regulator fitted and put on diagnostics, the result being that there was low compression on cranking, it is sitting at 30psi when it should be 200psi .

The thought was that when the car suddenly failed, it shut down and jammed on 30psi . There was a DTC code but i cannot remember what it was.

I had planned to leave it to a mechanic but in the meantime i got another car (for sale on here also) so that never happened and it has sat here ever since and its a shame to let it go to scrap.

When it was going it was a very responsive and nippy wee car and i done runs to Galway and back in it and it never missed a beat and hardly used any diesel.

This is too good a car to let it be picked up for scrap and im sure there is someone out there that has the hands on them to get this car going again.

Prior to it breaking down , it had over a dozen new parts fitted, the majority of them have less that 1000 miles on them and some have less than 100. When i replaced a part on one side, i replaced the same on the other side whether it needed it or not.

The most recent quote for scrapping was £275 but this car has loads of life in it.
