Description
This is a limited edition print, No. 265 of 500. It shows original Harland & Wolff technical drawings of their 26th ship, the Waipara.
The screw steamer Waipara was built in 1863 by Harland and Wolff in Belfast, for the Kaiapoi and Saltwater Creek Steam Navigation Company. The Waipara, like many ships built by Harland and Wolff, had a tumultuous history, with several strandings and eventual wreck in 1898.
