Description

Looking for chilled out entertainers/hobbyist musicians for day time rehearsals/gigs. No professionals just a good sense of humour and a willingness to improve, but ultimately it must be fun, strictly no politics or big time Charlie’s. Chat gpt has helped me formulate two sets a short killer set for festivals and a 3 hour bar set. I am a drummer and can play guitar and bass and lead vox and backing vox. Looking for over 50s up to 150 year olds. This isn’t about money but resources will be needed, I have a van and PA system and mics.
So enthusiastic players who have their own equipment important. No passengers please, I’m sorry but no drug or drink addicts. I’m looking at daytime gigs in venues and charitable events. The sets are just a guide but I’ve chosen songs with open guitar tunings as I’m lazy and can’t be arsed to learn complex

🎸 10-Song Killer Festival Set (with Tunings)
1. Supertramp – “Give a Little Bit” – Open G (D–G–D–G–B–D) – 12-string if possible.
2. The Rolling Stones – “Brown Sugar” – Open G (low 6th string often muted).
3. Pink Floyd – “Fearless” – Open G.
4. Led Zeppelin – “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” – Open G.
5. Status Quo – “Rain” – Open G variant / capo use.
6. The Who – “Behind Blue Eyes” – Open D (D–A–D–F#–A–D) or standard with alt voicings.
7. The Rolling Stones – “Start Me Up” – Open G.
8. Pink Floyd – “Hey You” – DADGAD (D–A–D–G–A–D).
9. Bruce Springsteen – “Atlantic City” – Open D (D–A–D–F#–A–D).
10. George Harrison – “My Sweet Lord” – Open E (E–B–E–G#–B–E).

👉 Guitar plan:
• One guitar in Open G covers 1–5 + 7 (six songs).
• One in Open D/DADGAD handles 6, 8, 9.
• One in Open E for 10 (or tune Open D up with capo).

So: 3 guitars total for a festival set 🍺 3-Set Pub / Theatre Show (with Tunings)

✨ Set 1 – Reflective Acoustic Start
1. Supertramp – “Give a Little Bit” – Open G
2. Bob Dylan – “Shelter from the Storm” – Open E
3. The Who – “Love Ain’t for Keeping” – Open G
4. Pink Floyd – “Fearless” – Open G
5. Led Zeppelin – “That’s the Way” – Open G
6. Status Quo – “Rain” – Open G variant

⚡ Set 2 – Rock & Anthem Section
7. Rolling Stones – “Brown Sugar” – Open G
8. Rolling Stones – “Tumbling Dice” – Open G
9. Led Zeppelin – “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” – Open G
10. Black Sabbath – “Laguna Sunrise” – Open C#/C (C#–G#–C#–F–G#–C#)
11. The Who – “Behind Blue Eyes” – Open D
12. Pink Floyd – “Hey You” – DADGAD

🎉 Set 3 – Big Closing Anthems
13. Rolling Stones – “Start Me Up” – Open G
14. Bruce Springsteen – “Atlantic City” – Open D
15. George Harrison – “My Sweet Lord” – Open E

👉 Guitar plan for pub set:
• Open G guitar: Covers 1, 3–5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13 (8 songs).
• Open E guitar: Covers 2, 15.
• Open D/DADGAD guitar: Covers 11, 12, 14.
• Open C guitar: Covers 10 (Laguna Sunrise).

So: 4 guitars ideal, but you could cheat:
• Tune Open D → DADGAD with a quick tweak.
• Use a capo to fake Open E from Open D (capo 2).
• Drop Open G to Open C for “Laguna Sunrise” if needed.

✅ This gives you practical, stage-ready tunings for both a killer festival set and a full pub/theatre show.
