Fully Equipped £60pw East London Rehearsal Room Share and Storage with 4 Other Lovely Bands

Description

A slot has opened up to move in to our shared rehearsal room. One evening per week is on offer from 5:30pm, or daytime could be available on request instead. It’s a large, comfortable, fully equipped rehearsal room which you would share with a community of four other bands and a producer/engineer who manages the room.

The building is 24hr so as long as you follow the correct security procedures (to keep our stuff safe!) you can stay as late as you like into the evening. We are currently transitioning to a system of designated weeknights for each group, but it’s not finalised so we should be able to accommodate a weekday which works for you. It’s also potentially possible to swap days or swap for daytimes for one-offs etc.

Travel and Parking

The studio is very near Star Lane DLR station, between West Ham (~5 min walk) and Canning Town (~10 min walk) which are both on the Jubilee. West Ham is one stop from Stratford for the Central, Lizzie, Overground etc. There is two first-come-first-serve parking spaces on the driveway at the front of the studio which are shared with the rest of the studios in the building, and parking on the lane outside is free after 2pm.


Shared Backline and Equipment Provided

The backline is subject to change depending on what’s available and working etc. Currently available for shared use is:

- 2x large dB Opera M15 Active floor monitors
- Soundcraft Spirit M12 Mixer

- Marshall JCM900 100W guitar head
- 4x12 Kelly guitar cab

- Fender BXR 300C bass amp

- Yamaha Stage Custom kit with hardware (3x cymbal stands), everyone provides their own kick pedal, snare, cymbals and clutch.

- Plenty of mic stands

Everyone uses their own vocal mics but there is some cheap ones available to use if you forget / don’t have one yet. Each group provides their own cables. As pictured the room contains a production desk with monitors etc. Access to this is not included, but can potentially be hired as a one-off or regular agreement additionally if required.


Facilities

There are six other rooms in the building which are all used for different musical purposes.
There is a kitchen shared between the seven rooms with fridge, microwave, kettle, sink etc, and a bathroom.
There is a small bike shed with padlock where you can leave your bike at your own risk.


Storage

The smallest two arches of the room act as a storage area for everyone who uses the room. There is a storage unit designated for each band, if you need to store a larger amount of equipment (your own drum kit etc) please let me know.
