Description
Step into an unforgettable night of vocal artistry with world-renowned tenor Charles Castronovo and acclaimed British pianist Claire Habbershaw, as they present an exclusive preview concert of their forthcoming Italian song album. This rare and intimate event offers audiences the chance to hear one of the world's greatest living operatic tenors up close, while he is in London performing Alfredo Germont in La Traviata at the Royal Opera House.
Joined by celebrated British cellist Alice Luddington, the programme also showcases music by Britain's "greatest living composer of art song" (Musical Opinion), including the world premiere of Melodie Oubliee for solo piano.
The concert takes place at the breathtaking Leighton House, one of London's most extraordinary historic homes. Once the studio-residence of Victorian artist Frederic, Lord Leighton, this richly decorated space is renowned for its opulent interiors, glowing mosaics, and Middle Eastern-inspired architecture. Audiences are warmly encouraged to arrive early to explore this stunning building, soak in its unique atmosphere, and set the mood for a truly boutique, intimate evening of song in a setting as evocative as the music itself.
