Lou contacted me promptly and responded to my statement that I had lost my mojo when it came to playing the saxophone. She felt she could inspire me and she certainly did! We have had our third weekly lesson and she has encouraged me to play by ear more which I have realised is more my style… I am getting less bogged down with technicalities and just enjoying playing. At the same time I am trying to get through one of my many books. Lou has highlighted where I need to concentrate my learning but has helped me realise the main thing is to enjoy playing- so I feel a good balance has been achieved so far. The lessons are on zoom- which seems to work well and she is accessible inbetween the weekly sessions should I need to send her something. Her texts summarising the lessons help enormously as I can scroll back and cover bits I may have missed. So far so good!
