Description
James Commodore 250 2 stroke single. AMC L25 engine and gearbox. Restored over the last decade and finally completed last year with no expense spared. If it needed doing it was done. New alternator and modern charging system and battery, switches, ammeter. Extensive rewire, everything working as it should. New exhaust. Good tires. Pleasure to ride, starts very easily and runs smoothly. Engine was refurbished prior to my ownership, I’ve had the head of and the bore looks as I would expect for an engine with little running. I’ve been on an 80 mile VMCC run with no problems, everyone was expecting a cloud of smoke being a two stroke but they didn’t see any smoke at all. Running 30:1 mixture with modern oil in petrol keeps it very happy and remarkably no smoke.
