This product is not so much a toy as it is an electronics learning tool. Having said that it is also both cool and fun! The lab board is well made and laid out. The manual is well written from both an educational and fun point of view with good illustrations and schematics. The projects cover a wide gamut of analog and digital electronics in an instructive and fun way. The use of a breadboard eliminates the need for soldering. However, given the use of real components this product is better suited to more intermediate and mature users. As has been noted elsewhere, worth the price of admission for the parts alone.
