Description
Consisting of 16 X , 833. Gallium Doped Monocrystalline. Photovoltic 250w panels.
These were set as two arrays one with 10 panels , the other with 6, in August 2014. With 12 year product warranty and 25 year min 90% output warranty. .
Each panel has its own Solar edge optimiser, which helps minimise shadow loss.
And any problem would only affect the one panel, not the complete array!! The others still delivering power.
These feed the Solar Edge SE 4000 16amp inverter. This system was quite costly but well worth the benefits.
Also by the use of the their dedicated App. All the functions, power output live and history etc can be viewed online.
The Rails, Mounting brackets, andOptimisers are all still connected together as can be seen in pictures. But if you would prefer them removed for ease of transportation this can be done.
This system has delivered over 37.5 Megawatt Hours over the 10 years whilst we have had it, and we would have kept it. Having paid well over for itself. But having to have new roof tiles fitted. Have upgraded to the latest higher power panels which take up less roof space.
We were fortunate enough to still benefit from the original FIT payment for what power this system produced, and exported.
But even today with the SEG payment scheme if one was to export all the 3MWh these panels would produce @ 15p/ KWh they would give a payment of £450 per year. Of course when actually using the power produced ones self. Saving around 25p KWh. This system should pay for itself in 2-3 years. THEN IT IS ALL PROFIT.
I have tried giving information pictures as well as those of actual system. Please note warrant details for lifetime cover from added picture.
